Electrically, there is poor contact between the LED bar plug and its socket, this causes the lamp to flicker a few times per hour – annoying. The flicker would have caused me to return the lamp, but being in the UK, I modified the lamp to fix it. Lack of electromechanical design skills are evident, LEDs take 900mA, all connectors need to be up rated for lifetime use. Design appearance is good. Mechanically the operation is a bit plastic and not 100% smooth, but acceptable. Works on 240V.

For as far back as I can remember my father has always had A Christmas Story played on repeat in our house on Christmas day. And watching it with him my family knows that his favorite scene is the scene the father gets his prize in the mail and it reads "fagile" on the side. I got this in the mail and set it up and it was perfect. I know this is a gift he will love.

I bought this lamp last year just in time for the christmas season (my family' first in our new home I recieved so many compliments on it EVERYONE loved it (with the exception of my mother-in-law who thought it was tacky). At first I was reluctant to spend so much on a christmas decoration but my mom talked me in to it, She said "Why not?, Its timeless!" I love that woman….. I will be buying her one for her this christmas! All in all Great Lamp, great quality, very easy assembly. This is one satisfied Hoosier.
